Moore D.V.M.
|
Dr.
Katie Moore was actively involved in 4-H during her youth
and decided at an early age that she wanted to become
an equine veterinarian. Taking on any horse related job
just to be near them, she finally got her own horse at
the age of 15.
Dr. Moore moved to Colorado and achieved a Bachelors degree
in Equine Science from Colorado State University. During
college, her summers were spent either working with horses
or traveling abroad and volunteering with veterinarians
in places like Costa Rica and Japan. Dr. Moore furthered
her career at CSU taking on an additional 4 years of school
to earn her degree in veterinary medicine. During vet
school she also completed a course in scientifically based
veterinary acupuncture.
Following graduation, Dr. Moore moved to Washington to
complete a year-long equine internship at a surgical referral
center where she assisted with surgeries, anesthetized
horses and medically treated horses, goats, alpacas, and
llamas.
Dr. Moore moved to Medford and joined
the team at Crater Animal Clinic in August of 2007 and
hopes to use acupuncture along side traditional veterinary
medicine to provide the best possible care for her patients
and the people who love them.
